Ever come up with multiple versions of the same folder? It can be a real hassle selecting which one to keep. The best is simply to use a program like SyncTwoFolders to merge both versions of the file together.
All you need to do is select the source folder and the destination into which it will go. SyncTwoFolders gives you a good choice of sync modes including reciprocal, source up target or source down target.
It is not clear what these different modes do and we were disappointed to see that the help tag, which would have probably provided more info, could not get opened.
In terms of performance, SyncTwoFolders merges folders quickly and will generate a log text with details of the operation. The program includes a Simulation mode to try out a merge before actually doing it, but we did not really find it that useful.
SyncTwoFolders can come in handy for quickly merging two folders. It's a shame the help tag does not work as we would have liked to get more info on the different sync modes.
Now, cancel a copy from the Finder's window with progress bar stop the synchronization (turn around of the AppleScript's bug).

Good for updating files fast
Lost of sync modes
Help not available
This program synchronizes two folders. The oldest files will be replaced by the most recent, and in certain cases, some files will be removed.
Use the help tags to familiarize yourself with the options. Be sure of what you are doing when you start a synchronization. If in doubt, do a Simulation and no files will be replaced or removed, only the icons will be rearranged if the option was selected.
Aliases themselves will be synchronized, however, the item it points to will not be. Invisible items and/or those starting with a “. ” (dot) won’t be treated.
This program creates a file named “SyncTwoFolders Prefs. txt” in the Preferences folder. The authors accept no responsibility as for the use of this software.
